Activity 2- must / mustn´t
Today I´m going to suggest you another activity that you can take into account when teaching de modal verbs must and mustn´t. As you know, it´s very useful to think about a context so you can easily involve your students.
In this activity you can divide the board into two columns, one of the columns is must and the other mustn´t. You can do this under the title of "At the zoo" (since the zoo is a good context to teach these modals). You can have strips of paper with zoos´rules. Students will have to read the strips of paper and you can ask them to go the the board and stick the strips in the correct column.
Here you have a few ideas of what to write in the strips of paper:
You must: Leave
untouched the plants and native wildlife
around you.
Buy an entrance ticket.
You mustn´t: Drive with
your car inside the Zoo.
Throw objects anywhere in the Zoo except in the trash containers.
Hope it will be useful! :) Nice weekend...
